As the number of Residents working from home increases drastically and the importance of social distancing becomes paramount, SRE will also be doing its part to minimize unnecessary human interactions and keeping entry to all units at a bare minimum. Emergencies will continue to be addressed in a timely manner. However, any non-emergency maintenance requests will now be delayed until further notice. These delays are contradictory to our standard method of operation, and we will resume normal operations as soon as it is feasible.
If any SRE Staff members are not feeling well or become ill, they will be self-quarantined and removed from our daily operations until further notice, and we encourage you to do the same. We do not want to infringe on anyone’s privacy, but if you are considered high-risk for catching the COVID-19 (coronavirus) or are in the quarantine process, please let us know right away so we can plan accordingly and take the necessary precautions. Nothing is more important than your health and safety, and the need to protect those most vulnerable to the coronavirus. We’re doing everything we can to keep our people safe, so we are here for you when necessary.
Our cleaning contractors and maintenance team will continue routine cleanings of all common areas, including door handles, door buzzers, hand railings, elevator buttons, laundry machines, and other “high-touch” surfaces.
If you have any questions or concerns, please visit the CDC’s Website for up-to-date information regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus).
We are monitoring information from the World Health Organization (WHO) as well as the Illinois and Chicago Departments of Public Health for updates. We will continue to be proactive and transparent in our communication to avoid panic, misinformation, and ensure your expectations are managed.
Preventing this pandemic from affecting our buildings is our job, as well as the job of all our Residents, and we thank you all for doing your part in preventing the spread of disease.
